Session 14: Mock Exam 3 & Exam-Day Readiness
The final timed, full-length mock exam, a live review of every question with reasoning and Microsoft Learn references, a personal readiness check, and a last-week revision plan that carries you to exam day.
▶ Take Mock Exam 3 in exam mode. The target is 80% or more (the real pass mark is 700/1000, so aim higher in practice).
Reviewing Mock 3
Review exactly as in Session 11, but focus on consistency: any skill you got wrong in two or more mocks is a real gap, not bad luck. Each explanation on the practice page names the Microsoft Learn topic to read for that skill.
Readiness check
You are ready to book when all of these are true:
- [ ] Mock 3 ≥ 80%, and Mocks 1–2 retaken at ≥ 80%
- [ ] Every topic drill ≥ 75%
- [ ] You can explain the six responsible AI principles with an example each, without notes
- [ ] You can write, from memory, the lines that create an
AIProjectClient, get an OpenAI client and callresponses.create - [ ] You have created and called an agent, run a speech and language pipeline, sent an image to a multimodal model and analysed a document with Content Understanding
- [ ] You can finish 40 questions in under 40 minutes
If two or more boxes are unticked, give yourself one more week and redo Lab 7.

Exam-day checklist
- Government ID matching your certification profile name.
- Online exam: system test passed, room clear, phone out of reach, check in 30 minutes early.
- Test centre: arrive 15–30 minutes early.
- During the exam: read the last line first, flag and move on, answer everything.
- After the exam: you see a pass/fail result immediately; the certification appears in your Microsoft Learn profile. Share the badge on LinkedIn and add the five portfolio projects to your resume.
After AI-901: what next?
- Role-based next steps: Azure AI Engineer Associate (the AI-102 track, and its successor exams), or the Data Scientist and Azure developer tracks.
